Tennis Canada just announced that the Davis Cup matches in Halifax will be played without spectators in the stadium because of "escalating safety concerns."

Extremists are threatening our Canadian way of life—and our leaders need to take a stand.

Cheering for Team Canada is part of what it means to be Canadian. Sidney Crosby’s “Golden Goal” in 2010. Summer McIntosh’s domination in the pool. And Canada’s men’s relay team shocking the world in the Paris Olympics.

Yet, now in our own country, Canadians won’t be able to cheer on our athletes because a small group of extremists have hijacked the Davis Cup.

It is unacceptable that hate, harassment, and intimidation have made it unsafe to support our athletes in our own country.

We are at a crossroads.

Our political leaders must decide whether we are a nation governed by peace, order, and good government—or one where fear and intimidation dictate our way of life.

We’re calling on the Government of Canada to speak out, and advance impactful solutions to protect Canadians.

And we need your help.
