McGill served with legal action after antisemitic blockade (The Suburban)

Attorney Neil Oberman, senior partner at Spiegel Sohmer, has served a mise-en-demeure by bailiff on McGill University president Deep Saini following the Feb. 22 anti-Israel and antisemitic blockade of the university’s Bronfman Building. The notice demands several actions be taken. Oberman had previously sent a mise-en-demeure to Concordia University to deal with antisemitism on its campus.

Vancouver’s Jewish community is concerned that the University of British Columbia’s student union could decide at their Feb. 28 meeting to place a referendum question calling for the termination of the Hillel House lease on the ballot.
