Statement by Noah Shack On the Current State of the Conflict

Attribute to Noah Shack, Interim President, Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs: 

"Hamas and other Iranian-backed terror groups have continuously attacked Israel since the October 7th massacre when terrorists murdered over a thousand Israelis and abducted 251 individuals, including babies, children, women and the elderly.

In this conflict there can be no equivalence between a democracy striving to free its hostages, and terrorists threatening innocent lives.

As Canada and its G7 partners have made clear, Hamas must have no role in Gaza’s future and must never again be a threat to Israelis. The Government of Canada must stand with the hostages, their families, and the people of Israel at this pivotal moment.”
