Yom Hashoah Commemoration at the National Holocaust Monument 2026

Livestream will begin at 11 AM ET on April 14, 2026

Join us on Tuesday, April 14 at 11 AM ET for a livestream of the Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemoration in partnership with the National Holocaust Monument Committee (NHMC), the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), the Jewish Federation of Ottawa, Canadian Society for Yad Vashem, the Government of Canada, the National Capital Commission, in close partnership with the Israeli embassy.

The commemoration will honour the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and all those who suffered under Nazi persecution. This year’s theme, “Helping Hand, Then and Now”, will feature remarks from the Albanian Ambassador, faith leaders, and a Holocaust survivor. Together, we will bear witness, reflect, and reaffirm our shared commitment to remembrance, education, and the prevention of hatred in all its forms.
