September 5 marks 53 years since the Munich Massacre, when the Palestinian terrorist organization Black September murdered 11 members of Israel’s Olympic team during the 1972 Summer Games.
The attack shocked the world, and its legacy continues to reverberate today.
Join CIJA and the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame on September 2 at 8:00 PM ET for a special event featuring the story of Canadian Olympic swimmer Karen James, who was there when the tragedy unfolded.
Through a screening of a powerful documentary and a live conversation with Karen, we’ll hear her first-hand account of what she witnessed, the impact it had on her, and why the world must never forget what happened in Munich.
