We Will Dance Again (Calgary)
Our own Amber Zenith will lead a High Fitness workout class and fundraise money for our P2G partnership region. Specifically, the money will go towards helping rebuild the Mevo’ot HaHermon Treatment and Rehabilitation Campus, one of Israel’s largest rehabilitation centers, offering a wide range of services to both children and adults. The facility primarily provides specialized therapy and rehabilitation for individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. It is especially known for its work with people who have special needs, including children with developmental disabilities, as well as individuals recovering from trauma or injury.
In addition to its focus on children with special needs, the center treats a diverse population including those suffering from PTSD, chronic pain, and individuals with mobility impairments. It offers over 20,000 individual therapy sessions annually, utilizing a variety of specialized treatments such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and bodywork. The center also collaborates with Clalit, a national health service provider, to deliver medical care, making it an essential community resource.
Before the rocket attack, the center was a bustling hub for rehabilitation and recovery, offering not just therapeutic services, but also a supportive environment for families in need.
