The Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver is seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your skills to a mission-driven organization that strengthens the Jewish community locally, nationally, and globally.

Position Summary:
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact in the Jewish Federation office. Reporting to the Senior Executive Assistant, the Receptionist will maintain a high level of professionalism paired with excellent communication skills, welcome all guests, co-ordinate front-desk activities and offer administrative support across the organization, including supporting the Campaign and Finance departments, as well as the executive office and senior management team as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serves internal and external visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately.
• Manages the main Federation phone line and inbox: answering all incoming calls and messages and responding to inquiries in a timely, positive, professional manner.
• Maintains office common areas, including ensuring the reception, board room, and kitchen are in an orderly manner, ordering office supplies, stocking printers with paper and toner, maintaining the postage machine, and keeping coffee supplies and other key office supplies stocked as needed.
• Manages incoming and outgoing mail and couriers daily.
• Maintains physical and electronic filing system for all processed pledges and accounts receivable and payable documentation, including archiving as needed.
• Provides support in making and mailing tribute cards.
• Tracks staff milestones and ensures appropriate events, holidays and key initiatives are recorded in the JFGV shared calendar.
• Supports the onboarding and off-boarding of staff, including arranging technology, updating staff lists and directories, setting up workstations, and performing other tasks as requested.
• Provides administrative assistance across departments, including coordinating meetings and event setup, to support organizational goals and priorities.
• Serves as the primary contact with JCC facilities to address office maintenance needs.

Qualifications:
• Demonstrated passion for delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to our organizational values of caring, excellence, collaboration, and efficiency.
• Proven ability to interact with individuals in a calm, professional, and empathetic manner, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
• Previous experience in a receptionist or similar administrative role, with a proactive approach to adding value.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfort with learning new technology tools.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in building positive relationships and working effectively with individuals with diverse communication and work styles.
• High level of professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information and maintain discretion at all times.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to a team that makes a meaningful difference in the community.

Salary range: $24-$26/hr (based on a 35 hr work week)
