Lenses of Lions: Filming the Aftermath of October 7

An exclusive premiere screening event of never-before-seen footage and testimonies documenting the October 7th Massacre, the Israel-Hamas war, and the legal and political campaign for the hostages, with award-winning Israeli-Canadian filmmaker Yoni Collins.

After October 7, filmmaker Yoni Collins returned to Israel to document the aftermath of the massacre and this unprecedented time in Jewish history. He has spent the past 4.5 months travelling all across Israel, to Washington D.C., Ottawa, and The Hague, filming in the kibbutzim and other locations of the massacre, and filming testimonies with survivors from the kibbutzim, survivors of the Nova music festival, bereaved families, hostages’ families, ZAKA volunteers, IDF soldiers, police officers, forensic analysts, human rights lawyers, Druze, Bedouins.

Presented for the first time, the footage Yoni has filmed serves as a powerful documentation for history, of the tragedy and brutality of the October 7 massacre and the strength and resilience of the Jewish nation in its wake.

The screening will be followed by an in-depth discussion and Q&A with Yoni Collins about the filming journey, the stories, and the conflict.

The funds raised from this event will be used to continue filming and documenting the aftermath of October 7th Massacre and the war, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the wellbeing and recovery of survivors of the Nova Music Festival.
