The Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre invites you to join us for the annual commemoration of Kristallnacht on Thursday, November 7, 2024,  7 p.m. at the Beth Israel Synagogue.

This year marks the 86th anniversary of the state-sponsored Night of Broken Glass.

Our commemoration will feature a candle lighting by Vancouver Holocaust survivors, a historical presentation by Dr. Richard Menkis and a keynote address by Dr. Nataliia Ivchyk from Rivne State University for the Humanities in Ukraine.

This program is presented by the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre in partnership with Congregation Beth Israel Synagogue. With support from the Robert and Marilyn Krell Endowment Fund of the VHEC. Funded through our community’s generous contributions to the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver Annual Campaign.

The program is free and everyone is welcome.
