On January 27, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we confront a hard truth: remembrance alone is not enough. “Never Again” must be more than words—it must be a resolve to act.

That is why we launched the I Resolve campaign, inviting Canadians and political leaders to take action against the resurgence of antisemitism and extremism. International Holocaust Remembrance Day is a call not only to remember the past, but to protect our future with urgency and determination.

As we have seen in Canada and around the world, including in Sydney, unchecked hate and radicalization carry deadly consequences. We are calling on elected officials and allies to share how they will personally resolve to confront these threats and ensure that “Never Again” is more than words.

On Tuesday Jan 27 at 11am ET, we will mark International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a live-streamed commemoration at the National Holocaust Monument in Ottawa. Featuring speakers from Parliament, the diplomatic community and Jewish community leaders, the ceremony is an opportunity to reflect on the past and to resolve to take action today against antisemitism and extremism across Canada.
