Holocaust Remembrance Day program (Virtual)
Please join the Law Society of Ontario, B’nai Brith Canada and the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) for our annual Holocaust Remembrance Day program.
This year’s program will feature a panel of esteemed speakers who will discuss the ongoing issue of hate crimes against the Jewish community in Canada. Our panelists will explore how the mass media and technology have been used to spread hate and propaganda, drawing parallels between the Nazi's use of radio and other forms of technology and the internet's role in promoting hate today. The panelists will also examine the direct correlation between the use of technology for hate speech and the increase in hate-motivated attacks on individuals, groups, and Jewish establishments and institutions.
Join us as we honor the victims of the Holocaust and continue to fight against hate in all its forms.
