The Toronto Holocaust Museum is the premier destination in Ontario for Holocaust education and dialogue about this vital history and its ongoing relevance. The Museum serves as a powerful and growing force against antisemitism, bigotry and hatred in all its forms. Through its programs and visitor experience, the Museum deepens the public’s knowledge and understanding while inspiring visitors to think critically about the tragedies of the Holocaust and to make connections between the Holocaust, world events, and contemporary Canadian life.

The Montreal Holocaust Museum educates people of all ages and backgrounds about the Holocaust, while sensitising the public to the universal perils of antisemitism, racism, hate and indifference. Through its Museum, its commemorative programs and educational initiatives, the Montreal Holocaust Museum promotes respect for diversity and the sanctity of human life.

The Centre for Holocaust Education and Scholarship (CHES) in Ottawa develops educational programs and activities to promote knowledge and understanding of the history and legacy of the Holocaust.

The Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada is an incorporated non-profit multi-faceted organization, which brings together the Jewish Historical Society of Western Canada, the Marion & Ed Vickar Jewish Museum of Western Canada, the Genealogical Institute, the Jewish Historical Society Archives, and the Freeman Family Foundation Holocaust Education Centre.

The VHEC produces thematic exhibitions, school programs, teaching materials, online exhibitions and has assembled and stewards Western Canada’s largest Holocaust-related museum collection, archives, survivor testimony project, library, rare books and special collections, and resource centre. Visitors to the museum can interact with the depth and breadth of our collection and its significant potential for teaching the Shoah and its enduring lessons.
