A Musical Hug From Israel (London)

Israeli music expert and radio host Josh Shron @israelhourradio deep dives into the songs released in the weeks and months after October 7

“The October 7 massacre in Israel affected the Jewish State - and Jews around the world - in a profound way. For weeks afterwards, we felt nearly every possible painful emotion: grief and sorrow, guilt, anger, shock, disbelief, and just about everything in between. At the same time, however, Israelis quickly united in their strong resolve to restore security to the country and bring home their hostages. Soon, a whole new set of emotions took hold: pride, strength, unity, hope, optimism, and so much more.

After the attack, Israel’s leading singers began releasing some of Israel’s most meaningful songs in recent memory, helping us cope with the roller coaster of emotions. Some songs helped put into words the grief and disbelief we were all feeling. Others filled us with pride, giving us hope for the difficult times ahead.

In his new presentation, “A Musical Hug From Israel,” Israeli music expert and radio host Josh Shrontakes a deep dive into the songs released in the weeks and months after October 7, helping us connect to the vibe of Israel in one of its darkest hours. How is music helping Israelis heal from this unspeakable tragedy? Hear the songs, watch the videos (with English subtitles), and be inspired by the remarkable spirit of Israel!”
