A Community Response to “Strengthening the Pillars: Report of the TMU External Review”

Strengthening the Pillars: Report of the TMU External Review, submitted by the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald, caused great concern in the Jewish community. CIJA engaged a panel of prominent lawyers and academics who determined that it was necessary to provide an analysis of the significant deficiencies in the report and to identify the community and societal concerns arising from those errors, mistakes, and misinterpretations.

Since late August 2024, CIJA has been attempting to meet with the leadership of Lincoln Alexander Law School (LALS), to no avail. It’s critical that the LALS leadership implement strategies to safeguard the welfare of all students, faculty, and staff. Nothing indicates this has happened.
