“The organizers of IWD Vancouver are clearly out of step with the 7 in 10 British Columbians who are concerned with the rise in antisemitism,” Nico Slobinsky, vice president for the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) Pacific region, said in an emailed statement. “By promoting these problematic individuals and using messaging that calls for the murder of Jews even after October 7 terrorist attacks, the largest murder of Jews since the Holocaust that included sexualized violence, the organizers of IWD Vancouver have demonstrated a lack of care for Jewish women’s right to safety and well being.”
