Torching of Quebec sex-ed book in U.S. condemned by National Assembly (Montreal Gazette)
MNAs also denounced the Jewish Public Library's decision to remove from public view books by Quebec writer/illustrator Elise Gravel.
The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs has said Gravel’s online activities “contribute to the alarming rise in antisemitism.” The organization said she invoked “the antisemitic trope of ritual murder” when, in one post, she wrote: “They are convinced that we are okay with their idea to exterminate the Palestinians, like vermin. Even children, even newborns.”
