Tell PM Trudeau to Vote Against the Anti-Israel UN Resolution
There is a deeply concerning vote coming up at the United Nations General Assembly.
It is a blatantly anti-Israel resolution that would bring into force a hugely problematic International Court of Justice (ICJ) advisory opinion that specifically targets Israel.
It not only undermines Israel’s security, but also promotes harmful measures such as BDS.
Moreover, it dismisses Israel’s right to defend itself, calls for sanctions that harm both Israeli and Palestinian communities, dangerously distorts Israel as an “apartheid” state, and bypasses direct negotiations for peace by promoting one-sided approaches.
Voting for this resolution would reward Hamas’ declared genocidal intentions and fundamentally undermine the credibility of the ICJ, an institution that Canada has supported.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Canadian government must stand firmly with Israel.
