Thank you for standing up for a safer Toronto
You did it. We did it together.
Our community spoke out, and Mayor Olivia Chow listened.
She was able to come back with the budget the Toronto Police Service asked for so they can continue to protect all Torontonians.
Mayor Chow announced that she will support the motion to boost Toronto police funding to the amount originally requested by police.
It’s a huge win, and it wouldn’t have happened without your action.
While it’s important we act on policies about which we feel strongly, it’s equally important we express our gratitude when our voices are heard.
When confronted with a constituency disappointed by a policy decision, too many politicians choose to “weather the storm” rather than find a resolution. Mayor Chow chose to roll up her sleeves and find a solution.
She deserves recognition for that.
