Join us this Remembrance Day for a powerful conversation with journalist and author Aron Heller as he shares the story behind Zaidy’s Band: The Untold Stories of a Jewish Band of Brothers in World War II.

In dialogue with Dr. David Koffman (York University), Heller traces the journey of his grandfather, Micky Heller, a Jewish Canadian veteran of the Second World War. In uncovering lost histories of Jewish soldiers who fought with courage and conviction, Heller demonstrates how they shaped the postwar world and the future of Israel.

This Remembrance Day, learn new narratives of faith, identity, and sacrifice that inform the legacy of Holocaust memory in the face of rising antisemitism.

The event includes access to the Museum’s galleries and an opportunity to mark Remembrance Day by honouring Jewish veterans whose legacy continues to inspire.
