Position Overview

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) is seeking an experienced professional to plan and implement its Government Relations program for Quebec. Primarily focused on the provincial and municipal levels of government, you will maintain, strengthen, and expand a strong network of relationships and develop strategies that will move the Jewish community’s public policy agenda forward. Reporting to the Quebec VP and based in Montreal you will work with a Quebec team of professionals as well as with a national team of government relations to contribute to Federal Government Relations team efforts while reflecting Quebec concerns.

Job Skills and Requirements

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who demonstrates excellent judgement while dealing with ambiguity, adapting to change, and managing competing priorities.  A creative thinker, you must have an acute understanding of Quebec’s political and public affairs landscape.  Knowledge of the Quebec Jewish community an asset. A post-secondary degree with at least five years of experience in a relevant public sector, political, media, or industry setting, superior written and verbal skills and bilingualism are required.
