CIJA joins Canadians in honouring our veterans on Remembrance Day

Nov 11, 2021 | Publications

CIJA joins Canadians in honouring our veterans On Canada’s Remembrance Day, CIJA joins Canadians in honouring our veterans – including the nearly 5,000 Jews in the First World War that ended at 11 a.m. on November 11, 1918, and 17,000 in WWII – for their service and sacrifice to our country. We remember their significant contributions, putting their lives on the line in defence of our values and our freedoms.

A moving message from Canadian Jewish military chaplain Capt. Rabbi Arnold Noteh Glogauer on Canada’s Remembrance Day from the deck of Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Winnipeg in the Indo-Pacific.

Rabbi Glogauer is the newest full-time Jewish chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces, the first rabbi ever posted to the Royal Canadian Navy and the first to be deployed on a Canadian warship.

This was filmed for the B’nai Brith Canada Remembrance Day ceremony
