The Canadian Coalition to Combat Online Hate was established in Spring 2020. Bringing together a diverse array of communities and organizations concerned about the rise in online hate, the Coalition is urging the Government of Canada to move forward with its plans to introduce policy on online hate.

We are the Coalition to Combat Online hate. Established in spring 2020, we are a diverse array of communities and organizations who have experienced online vitriol first-hand. We have come together with a purpose: to protect diverse communities – and all Canadians – from online hate.

Please find below a letter (in both English and French) from the Coalition to Combat Online hate to The Honourable David Lametti, P.C., M.P. Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and to The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, P.C., M.P. Minister of Canadian Heritage on the issue of online hate.
