Tell Mayor Valérie Plante to act decisively against antisemitic violence on our streets
Join CIJA and Federation CJA in demanding strong action from Mayor Valérie Plante to restore peace and security on our campuses and on our streets, in the face of antisemitic protesters and radicals who sow disorder and intimidate the community. The city must ensure that the law is fully enforced against these hatemongers. The citizens of Montreal want to see the city finally restore confidence in the position of Anti-Racism Commissioner by removing Bochra Manaï, the incumbent who has been complicit by refusing to speak out against hate.
Since the barbaric Hamas attacks on Israel and its population on October 7, Montreal Jews have had to endure daily violence and intimidation fomented by glorifiers of Islamic terrorism who are given free rein to operate in the city's streets. The status quo puts citizens – Jews and non-Jews alike – at risk.
It's time to put an end to this grotesque situation. Enough is enough!
Please join CIJA and Federation CJA in this call to action to tell the mayor that it's time to act. Empty statements won’t cut it.
