K. David Brody was born in London, UK. He graduated from Edinburgh University, Scotland, and then worked in advertising in London before emigrating to Montreal. After several years employed by Radio-Canada, and having achieved all his personal goals, he sought fresh challenges by emigrating to Israel. The experiment lasted two years and he returned to Montreal and embarked on a career in translation. Ten years ago he retired and took up writing. Among other works, he has self-published an award-winning novel, Mourning and Celebration, the story of survival of his 19th-century alter ego, a gay man born in a Polish shtetl, and An Honour to Serve, the biography of Col. B.J. Finestone, an iconic Montreal Jew.
