Marty Chernin is President of Bentick Investments Ltd., Harbour Royale Development Ltd., Joe’s Warehouse Limited, Pearl Realty Limited, and Jackmen Development Limited in Sydney, Nova Scotia. He is a member of the Board of Techlink International and Laurentian Energy Corporation. He studied Commerce at St. Francis Xavier and Dalhousie Universities.
His long career in community service has included work with: Cape Breton University, the Economic Council of Canada, The United Way of Cape Breton, Temple Sons of Israel, Atlantic Jewish Council, Canadian Olympic Society, Sydney Airport Authority, United Israel Appeal of Canada Inc., State of Israel Bonds, Lingan Golf and Country Club, United Israel Appeal, and the Nova Scotia Progressive Conservative Fund. He has also served on the Boards of CJPAC, Canadian Jewish Congress and the Canada Israel Committee.
