Marilyn Blumer

Marilyn Blumer currently serves on the Executive Committee of UIA Canada; the Executive Committee of JFNA (Jewish Federations of North America); is an Board Associate Member of JAFI and as a member of the Partnership and Activism Committee of JAFI. She is also Chair of the Negev Work Group of JFNA, Editor-in-Chief of Tikun Olam, a publication of FCJA, and a member of the Advisory Board of Women’s Philanthropy, FCJA.

Marilyn’s extensive background in community work includes service as Past-President of Federation CJA in Montreal, Past Chair of the Women’s Campaign of Federation CJA, Past President of the Auxiliary of Maimonides Geriatric Centre, and Past Member of the Executive Committee, Co-Treasurer and Co-Chair of the Budget Committee of CIJA (Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy).

Born in Montreal and a graduate of McGill University, Marilyn is married to Dr. Herbert Blumer. They have two daughters and four grandchildren. Marilyn Blumer is the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award of FCJA, and the Samuel Bronfman Medal of FCJA, which is the highest award conferred by the Montreal Jewish Community.
