Ha’aretz and other Israeli media are reporting about an alleged terror cell that was tracking El Al flight staff in Toronto. Ha’aretz says that the “suspected terrorists were seen at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, one of the hotels where the pilots and crew of the Boeing 767s that fly El Al’s direct Tel Aviv-Toronto route stay between flights.”
So far, there has been little coverage in the Canadian MSM. The Sept. 3 CTV Toronto newscast mentioned it briefly, as did the National Post.
The Post quoted Bernie Farber of the Canadian Jewish Congress who said ”his group has discussed the situation with Canadian and Israeli officials and has been unable to confirm the reports. ”
