According to Reports: Opinions Differ on Gaza Winners and Losers

In his weekly Canadian Jewish News media analysis column “According to Reports,” Paul Michaels, CIC Director of Communications,  looks at the widely differing views about who won and lost  in Gaza.

Writes Michaels:  “As the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza ended, media analysis of who won and who lost began. Not surprisingly, there were widely differing views on the outcome for each side.

“In ‘Winners and losers in the Gaza conflict’ (Globe and Mail, Jan. 19), Patrick Martin quoted Israeli analyst Yossi Alpher, who said that Israel won militarily but lost politically…”
