University of Manitoba Gets $250,000 for Scholarships to Study Water in Israel

The Winnipeg Free Press reports: “Algae, wetlands, drought — Manitoba has a lot to learn from Israel about handling water resources, says Water Stewardship Minister Christine Melnick.

“So much to learn, that the Doer government has given the University of Manitoba $250,000 for 10 annual $25,000 scholarships to send a master’s or doctoral student to Israel for a year of research and study.”
