Did You Know? Israeli Scientists Find Water Pollution by Listening to Plants

Scientists at Israel’s Bar-Ilan University have discovered a new way to test for water pollution by “listening” to plants growing in the water. By shining a laser beam on the tiny pieces of algae,  the researchers said they hear sound waves that tell them the type and amount of contamination in the water. Read more in the Globe and Mail »
