The Nov. 29 BUYcott Israel Action in support of Mountain Equipment Co-op’s Ethical Sourcing Policy was an outstanding success right across Canada. Every city reported that many friends of Israel visited their local MEC outlets to enthusiastically purchase memberships in the co-op and Israeli produced goods.

The event got positive coverage in the media and the blogosphere. Of special note was an editorial in the Calgary Herald: “Ignore boycott, it’s time to buycott Israel.”
