Introducing the Kavanah Organic Teaching Garden

The Kavanah Garden is the new organic, educational, community garden located at the Lebovic Jewish Community Campus in Vaughan (north of Toronto). Kavanah Garden’s mission is to actively engage community members in Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, by offering programs and activities rooted in Jewish ecological and agricultural wisdom. The Kavanah Garden is committed to growing not just healthy food but a healthy community as well – the majority of the produce grown is donated to social service organizations to help feed those in our community who need help the most.

The Kavanah Garden is open to the community on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-7pm. For more information about the Kavanah Garden, its programs and volunteer opportunities, please contact Risa Alyson Strauss (Program Director) at 416-805-8382 or risa@torathateva.org. You can also find out more at www.kavanahgarden.org

The Kavanah Garden is a project of The Jewish Nature Centre of Canada: Torat HaTeva, in partnership with the Schwartz/Reisman Centre.
