Larry Feldman's article struck a resposive chord when he suggested " Israel's narrative needs rethinking". Perhaps he didn't go far enough; perhaps he should have suggested that Israel's total public relations effort needs rethinking if not acompletely overhauled. It is difficult to understand how Israel could have allowed its image to deteriorate in sixty years from being the darling of the Middle East, the only democratic state in the region, to the bete noir of the Mid-east, the occupier and destroyer of human rights.
Danny Ayalon's short videos posted on You Tube have been a good start in telling Israel's story, but it is too little and very late. An all-out high profile effort must be mounted and maintained to combat the scurrilous anti-Israel and anti-Semitic propoganda so reminiscent of the Nazi Big Lie. There is no doubt that public relations efforts are being expended on behalf of Israel, but are they sufficient?

I would like to say that it was about time that the subject of the new rise of anti-Semitism in Canada was finally addresses and acknowledged! Hopefully, now, we'll have a tool to defend ourselves from attacks in the media, the universitiy campuses and places of work, etc,, agaist which we had no defence before. Anti-Semites could just deny that they were so, or that anti-Semitism existed. Now, with the report, denying this will be much more difficult.

Best way to get rid of UN bias is to solve problem between Israel and Palestine. Unfortunately at this time neither side seems to be able to do this.
Once a solution if found, Israel will no longer be the target of so many nations.
