Statement by NDP Leader Tom Mulcair on Rosh Hashanah

As Jewish families gather this weekend in celebration and reflection, I would like to offer my best wishes on behalf of the NDP to all those observing Rosh Hashanah. This holiday is an opportunity for families to remember the past and rejoice in the year to come.

I would also like to take the opportunity of the High Holidays to acknowledge the important contribution people in Canada’s Jewish community have made to enrich Canadian society.

My wife Catherine and I wish you and your family a year filled with health, peace and prosperity.

Au nom du NPD, j’offre mes meilleurs vœux à tous ceux qui se réuniront cette fin de semaine pour célébrer Rosh ha-Shana, méditer sur le passé et accueillir la nouvelle année.
