Canada Flies Israeli Plane in Afghanistan

The Canadian Air Force has has received its first Israel Aerospace Industries-built Heron unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Under a two-year contract worth $95 million, Israel Aerospace Industries built the aircraft while Canadian firm MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates provides management, training and maintenance for the Canadian military.
