According to Reports: Does Iran Have Syria on a Short Leash?
In his weekly Canadian Jewish News media analysis column “According to Reports,†Paul Michaels, CIC Director of Communications, reviews moves being made by Syria and Israel that may – or may not – result in peace negotiations.
Notes Michaels: “Over the past year, Israel held a series of four Turkish-mediated ‘indirect’ talks with Syria. Both sides have indicated an interest in continuing them. However…while Israel demands that Syria break its ties with Iran and Hezbollah, the Syrians have just as strongly rejected these demands.”
